Cincinnati Boychoir 60th Anniversary Spring Showcase: Celebrating Brothers in Song

Cincinnati Boychoir is proud to present their 60th Anniversary Spring Showcase: Celebrating Brothers in Song.  Formed in 1965, Cincinnati Boychoir has long been a destination for boys and young men drawn to the choral arts.  While originally for unchanged voices only, the choir now also includes changed voices, providing a home for singers throughout their childhood and teenage years, all the way through high school.

This concert is a musical snapshot of the Cincinnati Boychoir and features texts that reflect some of the Boychoir’s key values: forming friendships, caring for each other and our world, overcoming challenges, with an emphasis on personal growth, community connection, and building musical skills, enthusiasm, and joy of singing.  These last values are especially reflected in Jacob Navarud’s Celebramus, a piece commissioned for this 60th Anniversary performance : “Celebrate in Song – with spirit, laughter, and joy!”

Join us after the performance for a celebration and fundraising reception in support of the Boychoir’s 60th Anniversary, featuring small bites, drinks, raffle prizes, and games. Admission to this event is included in the cost of your concert ticket, and all proceeds will support the Boychoir’s tuition-free programs.
