The Estrada do Sol Grande Banda is a dynamic octet, performing thrilling arrangements of obscure and beloved Brazilian songs. Dance with them as they travel through time and the regions of Brazil with an eclectic mix of Bossa Nova, Samba, Baião, Choro and more!
Featuring Brian Cashwell (piano), Andrea Cefalo (vocals), Kiko Sebrian (drums), Marie Knueven (bass), Carlos Vargas (guitar), Matt McAllister (percussion), Dan Drees (saxophone) and Brian Stevens (trombone)
Following a dynamite debut in 2023, Memorial Hall proudly returns its November – December Jazz at the Memo series. Playing Monday nights in November and December 2023, the series begins with four “everyday” jazz programs featuring creative programs the finest of Cincinnati’s thriving jazz scene. After Thanksgiving, haul out the holly for three stunning re-creations of classic jazz Christmas albums, featuring music by Doris Day, the Rat Pack and Vince Guaraldi’s beloved “Charlie Brown Christmas.”
