The Nasty Nati Brass Band presents “Round Two”
Following their DownBeat Magazine-acclaimed debut album, Mike Wade & TNNBB present an evening of music from its sophomore release, “Round 2.” The band will perform a combination original and arranged music based on Black Lives Matter and musings on various styles that continue to influence the band, including New Orleans second-line, go-go, funk, reggae, Latin jazz, house and R&B.
Featuring Mike Wade (trumpet), E’Ali McDaniel (trumpet), Kim S. White (alto & soprano saxophone), Andrew Brown (tenor saxophone), Jason Branscum (trombone), Dr. Gary Scott Jones (trombone), Alexis Owens (sousaphone), Dione Howard (drums), Richard Branham (percussion), Dontay McCall (vocals), Maurice Suttles (spoken word artist)
Sizzling jazz warms wintery Monday nights as Jazz at the Memo returns in 2025 to the beautiful and acoustically superb Anderson Theater at Memorial Hall. Enjoy the finest of Cincinnati’s thriving jazz scene, including some of the region’s premier women and BIPOC artists, in intimate and often surprising performances. Celebrated local acts making their JATM debut in 2025 include The Faux Frenchmen and their tribute to Django Reinhardt, the explosive sounds of the Nasty Nati Brass Band and a program of vocal duets featuring songstress April Aloisio.
