The Nasty Nati Brass Band presents “Round Two”

Following their DownBeat Magazine-acclaimed debut album, Mike Wade & TNNBB present an evening of music from its sophomore release, “Round 2.” The band will perform a combination original and arranged music based on Black Lives Matter and musings on various styles that continue to influence the band, including New Orleans second-line, go-go, funk, reggae, Latin jazz, house and R&B.

Enjoy the finest of Cincinnati’s thriving jazz scene, including some of the region’s premier women and BIPOC artists, in intimate and often surprising performances. Celebrated local acts making their JATM debut in 2025 include The Faux Frenchmen and their tribute to Django Reinhardt, the explosive sounds of the Nasty Nati Brass Band and a program of vocal duets featuring songstress April Aloisio.

Let’s Take the Coltrane

In a much anticipated encore, The Four Strangers Quartet come together to explore more of the exciting music of jazz saxophonist, composer and legend John Coltrane. Join these four outstanding players as they find themselves in a “Moment’s Notice” navigating the “Giant Steps” down into the cool green depths of a “Central Park West” mindscape, where they reimagine and explore their favorite Coltrane compositions.  

Featuring Tim McCord (tenor saxophone, piano), John Zappa (trumpet, flugelhorn), Mike Sharfe (acoustic bass) and Phillip Tipton (drums) 


Following a dynamite debut in 2023, Memorial Hall proudly returns its November – December Jazz at the Memo series. Playing Monday nights in November and December 2023, the series begins with four “everyday” jazz programs featuring creative programs the finest of Cincinnati’s thriving jazz scene. After Thanksgiving, haul out the holly for three stunning re-creations of classic jazz Christmas albums, featuring music by Doris Day, the Rat Pack and Vince Guaraldi’s beloved “Charlie Brown Christmas.”
